Do you take small jobs, or is there a minimum?
Small jobs are the core of the business. We do ask for a minimum of about one hour of work, so most homeowners group two or three items into a single visit to get the most value out of the trip.
Can you match the texture on my existing walls?
Yes. Knockdown, orange peel, and smooth finishes are all matched on site before painting, so the patch blends into the wall instead of standing out under raking light.
Do you supply the materials or should I?
Either way works. We can pick up materials and bill them at cost, or install what you have already bought — common when you have chosen a specific fixture, tile, or paint color.

When should gutters be cleaned in Harford County?
Twice a year for most homes: once in late spring after the seed pods and maple helicopters drop, and again in mid-to-late November once the oaks have finished. Homes under heavy tree cover often need a third pass.
Can you repair a deck instead of replacing it?
Usually, yes. If the posts, joists, and ledger board are sound, replacing surface boards and railings restores the deck for a fraction of a rebuild. We tell you honestly when the framing is too far gone to be worth repairing.
Do you work in winter?
Yes, year-round for repairs. Exterior painting and staining are scheduled around temperature — most products need consistent daytime temperatures above 50°F, which in Maryland generally means April through October.

A 20-year-old shut-off valve that will not close is the reason a simple faucet swap turns into a flooded cabinet. We replace tired valves as part of the job.
Fixtures Sit Right
Toilets get a new wax ring and get shimmed level. Ceiling fans get a fan-rated box. The small steps are what keep it from wobbling or leaking six months later.
Light Plumbing & Electrical — common questions
What plumbing and electrical work do you not take on?
We do not do main water or sewer line work, repiping, electrical panel upgrades, service changes, or running new circuits. Those require a licensed master plumber or master electrician, and we will refer you rather than take the job.
Can you install a fixture I bought myself?
Yes — most of these jobs are customer-supplied fixtures. Have the box on site before the appointment and check that it is complete, since missing mounting hardware is the most common reason an install stalls.
Do you offer emergency service?
No. We schedule appointments during normal business hours, Monday through Saturday. For a burst pipe or an active electrical hazard, call a 24-hour emergency plumber or electrician.

Kitchen, Bath & Basement Remodeling — common questions
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
A standard hall bath runs about 2–3 weeks from demo to final walkthrough. Kitchens typically run 4–8 weeks, driven mostly by cabinet lead times. Basement finishing depends on square footage and whether a bathroom is included.
Do I need a permit to finish my basement in Harford County?
Yes. Harford County requires a building permit for basement finishing, plus separate plumbing and electrical permits when you add a bathroom or new circuits. Egress window requirements apply to any bedroom. We handle the applications.
Can I live in the house during the work?
For bathroom and basement projects, almost always — we contain dust and protect walkways. For a full kitchen, most families set up a temporary prep area with the refrigerator and microwave and manage fine.
